Ok, so I'm doing my Astronomy Homework, and was looking for a chart that my professor had posted on a slide show and used these keywords: Average star masses in space, Pearson, Addison wesley and I got these images, none of which were what I was looking for:
I love this commercial, the little boys are the most adorable kids ever and every time I see it it brings a smile to my face. Enjoy!
The video that I posted awhile ago about "I Ran" from Saturday Night Live, but it isn't working anymore, but now here it is again, I found it because I thought it was so funny-my favorite is the mini cameo of Jake Gyllenhall
Here are the Lyrics so you can sing along to this catchy tune! They say true love comes only once in a lifetime And even though we’re from opposite ends of the earth My heart tells me you’re the one for me
Mahmoud, I remember when it started, saw you on the news You hating gays, I was eating food I was feeling you, and even though I disagree with almost everything you said You ain’t wrong to me, so strong to me, you belong to me Like a very hairy Jake Gyllenhaal to me Mahmoud, make my heart beating out of my chest my mind says no but my body says yes You ain’t no threat, the only threat I see, is the threat of you not coming home to me Our love for each other is like when atoms collide Can’t express how I feel, and yo Adam let’s ride
And Iran, Iran so far away is your home, but in my heart you’ll stay
He ran, for the president of Iran We ran together to a tropical island My man, Mahmoud is known for violence Smiling, if he can still do it then I can They call you weasel, they say your methods are medieval You can play the Jews, I can be your Jim Caviezel
S&M, (?) when we’re wrestlin’ You can be the port that I put my vessel in So I try to (?) but you can still see me With your sleepy brown eyes, butter pecan thighs And your hairy butt… Yeah.
And Iran, Iran so far away Come home, and in my arms you’ll stay Used to look at the stars and dream Around the world the same stars we’re seeing And a twinkle in your eyes Mahmoud
Talk smooth to me, in the night sky With you pants high waisted, damn so fly We can take a trip to the animal zoo And laugh at all the funny things that animals do Like Eugene, you got me straight trippin’ boo Hope you look at my eyes and say I’m trippin’ too You say (?) but they already do You should know by now, it’s you
You crazy for this world Mahmoud So give us another Holocaust all you want But you can’t deny that there’s something between us I know you say there’s no gays in Iran But you’re in New York now baby So time to stop hating and start living
Ok, so I know that halloween is still 2 days away, but I couldn't wait. A classic Halloween moment for me is Michael Jackson's Thriller. it's 14 minutes of random zombie fun. And, it's before he got(totally) creepy! Yay!
Here's the video:
And then, (shameless self promotion) the Mighty Sound of Maryland(from the University of Maryland) of which I'm a part, did a halloween show this past weekend, and we did the thriller dance! (very impressive, I might add, because we are band people, and not dancers) Needless to say, we got more cheering than the football team. the first video is th second song in the show, and then the dance at the end, and the second one is just the dance at a different angle.
My new favorite show- So Stylistic, so pretty to look at, and each episode looks like a movie. AND it's a fantastic/morbidly beautiful show. OMG. it's so fantastic. I'm obsessed. and lucky for you, you can watch both episodes online! Watch it.
And I am so excited that Kristen Chenoweth (from Wicked) and Ellen Greene (from Little Shop of Horrors) from the website: Grown up Ned (Lee Pace) puts his talent to good use by touching dead fruit and making it ripe with everlasting flavor. He opens a pie shop. But his gift leaves him wary of becoming close to anyone, as beautiful waitress Olive Snook (Kristin Chenoweth) finds out. His life as a pie maker gets more complicated when private investigator Emerson Cod (Chi McBride) finds out about Ned's secret. Emerson convinces the cash-strapped Ned to help him solve murder cases (and collect the hefty reward fees) by raising the dead and getting them to name their killers.
Then Ned is handed the case that changes his life forever. His childhood sweetheart, Charlotte "Chuck" Charles (Anna Friel), is murdered on a cruise ship under strange circumstances. Her death brings him back to his hometown of Coeur d' Coeurs to bring Chuck back to life, albeit briefly, and solve the crime. But once reunited with Chuck, Ned can't bring himself to send her back. He helps her escape after her grieving aunts, Lily and Vivian (Swoosie Kurtz, Ellen Greene), former synchronized swimmers Darling Mermaid Darlings, think they've buried her forever.
Chuck becomes the third partner in Ned and Emerson's PI enterprise, but she encourages them to use their skills for good, not just for profit. Ned is overjoyed to be reunited with Chuck, the only girl he's ever loved. Life would be perfect, except for one cruel twist -- if he ever touches her again, she'll go back to being dead, this time for good.
Have you seen these new Sprint commercials? I think they are genius! I'm always a fan of G.U.I. or Graphic User Interface, which is the images you see on top of the video. I think they're really interesting.
I just heard this canadian duo on MTV (what, music on MTV?) Chromeo is a super funky, hip-hoppy pair of awesomness. And according to their website:" is Pee Thug and Dave 1: best friends since their Montreal adolescence, virtuoso musicians, walking hip-hop encyclopedias, and the only successful Arab/Jew partnership since the dawn of human culture. " Here's their video for "Needy Girl" the lyrics of which are below to sing along!
Wanna be by yourself And no one else Alright Now you wanna go out Wanna scream and shout Tonight You want some space Now get out of my face Alright Now you want me back Put your life on track Tonight
You're a needy girl I can tell when I look in your big brown eyes You want my world But how can I do yours if I can't do mine? I try to change But somehow it's weird I don't feel the same It's all about What you want What you say How you feel How you play the game
You're a needy girl And you want my world I try to change But it's not the same
[Hello? Hey, what's up baby. Yeah, I'm in the studio right now, I'll call you later. No, I really can't talk right now, I'll just call you back, alright? No, I can't talk right now, I'll just call you later. Yo, what? Yo, I can't - look - whatever.]
When you're home alone You don't answer the phone Alright But it's like a crime If I don't answer mine Tonight So you found a man And he's more than a friend Alright But you still call me For some TLC Tonight
You're a needy girl I can tell when I look in your big brown eyes You want my world But how can I do yours if I can't do mine? I try to change But somehow it's weird I don't feel the same It's all about What you want What you say How you feel How you play the game
You're a needy girl And you want my world I try to change But it's not the same
What do you get when you cross a Zebra and a Horse? A Zorse, of course!
Apparently, they are quite skittish. and they're real! I heard about these on this fantastic little movie called I'm Reed Fish, which only opened in 1 city, but starred Jay Baruchel(of Knocked Up fame) and Alexis Bladell(from Gilmore Girls) and is really a nice movie :D.
that Knocked Up is coming out tomorrow! (I'm a little obsessed) And so, in celebration, I both hunted and pecked and found this scene, one of my favorites, when they are tripping on mushrooms. Enjoy!
"Maggie May" is a traditional Liverpool folk song (Roud #1757) about a prostitute who robbed a sailor. It has been the informal anthem of the city of Liverpool for about 150 years.
John Manifold, in his Penguin Australian Song Book, writes:
"A foc'sle song of Liverpool origin apparently, but immensely popular among seamen all over the world...".
Stan Hugill in his Shanties from the Seven Seas writes of an early reference to the song in the diary of Charles Picknell, a sailor on the convict ship Kains that sailed to Van Diemen's Land in 1830."
Thanks Wikipedia!
While I am not a prostitute...
